Personal Time-Off Tool

The application allows the assistants of a company, located in more offices, to initiate time off requests, allowing the office approvers/managers to search for appropriate coverage.

The application allows multiple offices to be configured. The office managers are able to add special events, particular restricted dates and holidays.

Each time-off request made by assistants will follow an approval process. At the end of the process, approved requests will be displayed in a calendar view, which allows easy filtering and sorting for all users.

The main feature of this tool is that it combines the richness of a Lotus Notes application and the convenience of using a web browser to access it. The tab navigation allows users and managers to view the calendar, while filling in or reviewing a new request.

The combination between Domino's scalable web server and AJAX allow the application to provide data from the server to the client in real time, avoiding the classical submit and reload of web forms.

The application is using a handful of customized web components such as NamePicker, DatePicker,CalendarView, View, etc.
